Municipal District of Kilkenny (City) Traffic Notice 9th to 12th September 2017

Saturday 9th September 2017

To facilitate Stage 5 (Kilkenny Criterium) of the Ras na mBan cycle race on Saturday 9th September 2017. The following roads are closed to traffic from 5.30 pm -8.30 pm

The Parade, Castle Road, Nuncio Road, Waterford Rd at roundabout at Nuncio Rd, Upper Patrick Street, Lower Patrick Street , Rose Inn Street, High Street from Parade to Friary Street

Parking restrictions will be in place along the route from 4.00 pm.

Sunday 10th September 2017

A number of events are taking place on Sunday. The Pink Run in The Castle park, The final stage of Ras na mban and the Cannonball run on Sunday evening. To facilitate the events, the following roads in Kilkenny City will be closed to traffic..

The Parade/Castle Road from its junction with Rose Inn St. to its junction with Nuncio Road from 11 am - 10 pm

There will also be traffic restriction on following roads from 12.30 pm - 2.00 pm St Francis Bridge, Irishtown, Parliament Street High Street.

Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th September 2017

Patrick Street

To facilitate the undergrounding of E.S.B. networks, Patrick St will have a Stop/ Go Traffic management in operation from 9 am to 4.30 pm on Monday and Tuesday 11th & 12th September.
