Council Announces Ambitious Service Delivery Plan

Kilkenny County Council has announced its Service Delivery Plan for 2018. The Plan sets out a comprehensive work programme across the broad range of Council services that it intends to provide in 2018, mainly direct labour, but also by contracts, Service Level Agreements and Shared Services with other Local Authorities.

Ambitious programmes have been put in place for Housing, Roads & Transportation, Flood Prevention, Water Services, Economic Development & Tourism, Planning & Conservation, Environmental Protection, Heritage & the Arts, Library Services, Community & Culture, Amenity, Sport & Recreation, Fire Services, Energy, Older People & Age Friendly, Children & Younger People, Financial Management and Customer Services Development.

Ms. Byrne stated that "It is the responsibility of all of us who work on behalf of this Council to seek to promote a strong economy with a quality of life and quality environment, which in turn contributes to making Kilkenny an attractive and enjoyable County for our communities, our tourists and the business sector."

The Chief Executive paid tribute to the work being done by the Elected Members and expressed her appreciation for the dedication and hard work of her staff across the Organisation.
