NOTICE OF PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT BY LOCAL AUTHORITY

In accordance with Part XI, Section 179 of the Planning and Development Act 2000, as amended and Part VIII, Article 80 & 81 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001-2011, notice is hereby given that:

In partnership with the National Roads Authority, Kilkenny County Council proposes to develop a road maintenance depot for the motorway network at the Hebron Road Industrial Estate in Leggetsrath West, Kilkenny City.

Proposed Development:

The Maintenance Depot shall accommodate the following: Offices, storage area and workshop, car parking, salt barns, depot, weighbridge, hard standing area, ESB Sub –station, refuelling bay, access directly from the Hebron Road, ancillary services such as water supply, foul treatment, surface water collection, bunding and landscaping around the site, the diversion, protection and provision of utilities and construction of boundary treatments, accommodation works and fencing at required locations

Location:

The proposed development is located at Leggetsrath West, Kilkenny City.

Plans and particulars of the above development will be available for inspection or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy at the offices of Kilkenny County Council, County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny during normal working hours (9.00 a.m. to 1.00pm and 2.00 p.m. to 5.00p.m. Monday to Friday inclusive except on Public Holidays) for a period of six weeks commencing on Friday 23rd December, 2011 to Monday 13th February, 2012.

Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the proposed development would be situated, may be made in writing to Simon Walton, Senior Engineer, Roads and Transportation Department, Kilkenny County Council, County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny to be received not later than 4.00p.m. on Monday 27th February 2012 being not less than 2 weeks after the end of the period for inspection of plans and particulars specified pursuant to Article 81(2)(d)(i))).
