Report Illegal Dumping

Use Kilkenny County Council's confidential litter line 1800 200 156 to report illegal dumping. Unfortunately we can not investigate incidences of illegal dumping reported via social media as often there is not enough detail on the location.  The public are encouraged to ring the litter line to ensure all details of the incident is recorded for enforcement purposes.  The concerned citizen reporting the incidence can remain anonymous.

National Spring Clean

National Spring Clean is Ireland's most popular, well recognized and successful anti-litter initiative.  Operating by An Taisce since 1999 in partnership with Local Authorities the size and scale of National Spring Clean has grown steadily and significantly over the years.  As National Spring Clean has become a fixed date on the school and community calendar, this partnership can hopefully look forward to an even greater success for many years to come.

Community Assistance

The Environment Section assists community and resident groups organizing clean ups in their local community.  The Council provides bags and gloves and at certain times of the year provides assistance with litter removal.  Contact the environment office for further information by phone on 056-7794470 or by email environment@kilkennycoco.ie.
