Presentation Skills Training
In June 2019, Kilkenny Fire and Rescue Service ran 3 no. Presentation Skills courses for their operational fire officers. This is the 4th iteration of presentation skills courses since 2007, 2010 and 2014. Two of these courses were refresher courses for existing personnel who were already trained, with 19 no. fire officers of all ranks who partake in delivering either 'Community Fire Safety' messages and/or the now 13th year-on-year Primary School Programme (PSP). The third course was attended by 9 no. fire officers new to presentation skills, to aid and assist them with positive tools for public speaking and audience engagement.
We will look forward to reaping the rewards of the training with our fire officers working with our communities in Kilkenny City and County, sharing and promoting the 'safer communities' keeping communities safe message.
The training was professionally provided by Mr. Jim Roche of https:/www.supremeevents.ie and his colleague Ms. Gene Rooney, both graduates of the Gaiety School of Acting (Dublin), actors and active facilitators of presentation skills training - continued professional development (CPD).
