Disruption to Watermain Service
Wednesday 10th - Thursday 11th of June
To whom it may concern
As you may be aware, Kilkenny County Council have embarked on a road & infrastructure improvement project to the south west of Kilkenny City, to include the construction of a new distributor road from the N76 Callan Rd to R695 Kilmanagh Rd. This Project, known as Kilkenny Western Environs Phase 1 Infrastructure is currently under construction.
As part of the project, a new watermain is being installed from the N76 Callan Rd to R695 Kilmanagh Rd.
To coincide with overall upgrade works to the watermain systems, on Wednesday 10/06/2020 the contractor will undertake removal of a section of the existing watermain on Circular Rd.
This will result in a temporary interruption & loss of mains water service on Circular Rd area, including Robertshill and Rose Hill Court, and pressure in the surrounding areas may also be affected between the following expected times;
Wednesday 10/06/2020, 6 am to Thursday 11/06/2020, 6 am.
When the water is turned back on, some discoloration of the water may result. The contractor will flush hydrants to minimise this discoloration.
On behalf of the Contractor, we wish to apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience.
