NOTICE OF PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT BY LOCAL AUTHORITY

R703 Kiljames Bridge Improvement Scheme Kiljames, Thomastown, Co.Kilkenny.

In accordance with Part 8, Article 81 of the above Regulations, Kilkenny County Council hereby gives notice of proposals pertaining to the R703 Kiljames Bridge Improvement Scheme in the townland of Kiljames on the Thomastown to Graiguenamanagh Road.
The main features of the proposed works include:

  • Part demolition and reconstruction of existing bridge.
  • Widening and retaining works to existing bridge.
  • Widening of bridge to form 2 No. 3.5m wide carriageways cross-section.
  • Improvements to the horizontal and vertical carriageway alignment for approximately 50m in each direction from the centre of the bridge.
  • The provision of crash barrier and road markings.
  • Erection of fencing and walls along newly formed boundaries created by the proposed scheme.
  • Grass reseeding of verges and side slopes

Details of the schemes may be inspected from Friday the 16th of July 2010 to Friday the 27th of Aug 2010, at the following Kilkenny County Council offices:

  • Thomastown Area Office From 9am to 1pm & 2pm to 5pm Thomastown. Monday to Friday (Except Public Holidays).
  • The Road Design Office, From 9am to 1pm & 2pm to 5pm. No.1 Dean Street, Kilkenny. Monday to Friday (Except Public Holidays).
  • County Buildings, From 9am to 5pm. John Street, Kilkenny Monday to Friday (Except Public Holidays).
