Town and Village Renewal Scheme Funding Announced for Five Kilkenny Projects
Funding was announced today, 8th January, 2021, by Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys T.D. for the below community projects in five locations in Kilkenny under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme. Kilkenny County Council are looking forward to working with the communities to complete these very worthy projects. The projects will share a total of €574,826 in funding as follows:
THOMASTOWN | The creation of an amenity/sports recreational space. | € 99,326 |
STONEYFORD | Provision of a pedestrian walkway with lighting from Stoneyford to Ennisnag. | € 100,000 |
KILMACOW | Pedestrian and road safety measures, including street lighting, pedestrian crossings, footpath widening and parking demarcations. | € 100,000 |
HUGGINSTOWN | Public Realm project to deliver street kerbing, parking, drainage and footpath development on the Main Street. | € 100,000 |
FRESHFORD | The provision of a raised walkway/boardwalk with bridge, connecting Buncrussia Street to Millennium Park. | € 175,500 |
