Local Enterprise Office (LEO) in Kilkenny, replaced the Kilkenny County Enterprise Board and absorbed into the functions of the Council in May 2015.
The LEO delivers services locally to small and expanding businesses under a service level agreement with Enterprise Ireland and the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation.

Financial Supports

The Local Enterprise Offices in Kilkenny offers a range of financial supports intended to aid with the establishment and/or growth of local enterprises (limited companies, individuals/sole traders, co-operatives and partnerships) which employ up to ten people.

Financial Assistance include:

  • Feasibility/Innovation Grants
  • Business Expansion Grants
  • Priming Grants

In 2015 €430,000 in grant-aid was approved to 23 business projects. In is expected that they will create at least 43 new full-time jobs at a cost per job of just under €10,000 in addition to sustaining existing jobs

First Stop Shop

Provides information on all the state supports for new entrepreneurs and existing micro-enterprise and small business owners.
Also provides direction and advice on how to access other supports services and relevant programmes.

Training Programmes

The Local Enterprise Office in Kilkenny provide a wide range of training courses customised to meet specific business requirements, from starting a new business to growing or sustaining an existing business.
