Kilkenny City Night Time Economy Public Survey
Survey to collect feedback from residents and visitors of Kilkenny City on the challenges and opportunities of developing the night time economy in Kilkenny City.
The Night Time Economy refers to the diverse social, cultural and economic activity occurring during specified evening and night time hours. It balances the needs of the inter related communities that co exist to bring it to life and create a special sense of shared place
Following the publication of the NTE Taskforce Report, Kilkenny City was successful in being designated as one of nine pilot towns and cities in the country that will prepare and implement an action plan setting out a range of interventions to support the coordinated development of our night time economy. A Night Time Economy Advisor has been appointed and a dedicated stakeholder forum representing cross business sectoral and community interests has been formed to oversee and implement the plan.
This first phase of our stakeholder engagement comprises a short online survey in the form of a questionnaire. This survey is an opportunity for residents of County Kilkenny and visitors to the city to provide their feedback on the challenges and opportunities that exist and assist us in realising our ambition to develop Kilkenny City as the foremost evening and night time destination which can offer a sustainable vibrant, cultural and diverse experience. The feedback provided will form the basis for the action plan and will allow us to focus on the key priorities.
The survey will be open for completion for three weeks from Monday 15th Jan to Friday 2nd February. The survey is anonymous, however if you wish to be included in a draw to win one of six €50 Kilkenny Chamber vouchers, please submit your email address at the end of the survey and we will be in contact with the winners once the survey has concluded.
