Upcycled Robots - Family Fun Competition

Kilkenny County Council's Environment Section launched a competition today (18th May) which will require families to design and make a robot using materials from home. Now is the time to raid the recycling bin and check out if anything in the garden shed could play a part in your family's creation. The deadline is not until the 17th of June, so there is plenty of time to design and construct your robot.

Robot Requirements
Robots need to be free standing and be a minimum height of 1m. The judging criteria will consider the effective use of recyclable/reusable materials considering; Originality, Creativity and Overall Presentation.

Prizes
5 families passes from any ONE of these top Kilkenny attractions are up for grabs...Nore Valley Park - Kilkenny Castle - National Reptile Zoo - KBowl - Castlecomer Tree Top Walk - Medieval Mile Museum- Rothe House & Garden.

How to Enter
Robot photos are to be submitted with a description of the materials used (Max 150 words) and a brief note on who assisted in its creation (Max 50 words). Entries are to be submitted to robots@kilkennycoco.ie before 5pm on the 17th of June.
