The Local Enterprise Office is excited to announce that students from schools all over the county will be participating in a Christmas market over the coming days.

These talented young entrepreneurs have been working hard over the past year to develop and market their own products and this is their chance to showcase their skills and creativity to the community. From handmade crafts to tasty treats and more, there is sure to be something for everyone at the market.

Cathaoirleach Cllr. Pat Fitzpatrick mentions “supporting the next generation of small business owners is essential for the growth and success of our community, and I am grateful to MacDonagh Junction for their continued support of this initiative."

The market is a fantastic opportunity for the students to not only sell their goods, but to also gain valuable real-world experience and learn about the ins and outs of running a successful business.

"The Student Enterprise Programme is a great opportunity for young people in our community to learn about entrepreneurship and gain valuable real-world experience. I am proud to see so many talented and ambitious students from our schools participating in this programme and showcasing their skills” according to Aileen McGrath, Acting Head of Enterprise, Local Enterprise Office, Kilkenny County Council.

We encourage members of the community to come out and support these talented young people by checking out their products at the MacDonagh Junction Christmas market.
