Kilkenny County Council Bye Laws 2017 - Prohibition of Consumption of Intoxicating Liquor on Streets and in Public Places

LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 2001

Kilkenny County Council have made Bye-Laws prohibiting the consumption of intoxicating liquor on the streets and in public places at

1. Ballyragget: That part of County Kilkenny comprising the Town of Ballyragget and its environs.

2. Bennettsbridge: That part of County Kilkenny comprising the Town of Bennettsbridge and its environs.

3. Callan: That part of County Kilkenny comprising the Town of Callan and its environs.

4. Castlecomer: That part of County Kilkenny comprising the Town of Castlecomer.

5. Ferrybank: That part of County Kilkenny comprising the Town of Ferrybank and its environs.

6. Goresbridge: That part of County Kilkenny comprising the Town of Goresbridge and its environs.

7. Graiguenamanagh: That part of County Kilkenny comprising the Town of Graiguenamanagh and its environs.

8. Inistioge: That part of County Kilkenny comprising the part of the townland of Kilcross.

9. Kilkenny City and Environs: That part of County Kilkenny comprising the City of Kilkenny and its environs.

10. Mooncoin: That part of County Kilkenny comprising the Town of Mooncoin and its environs.

11. Piltown: That part of County Kilkenny comprising the Town of Piltown and its environs.

12. Thomastown: That part of County Kilkenny comprising the Town of Thomastown and its environs.

These Bye-Laws will come into force on 15th June, 2017.

The maximum fine for persons found guilty by the District Court for breach of these Bye-Laws is €2,500.

Copies of the Bye-Laws may be purchased or inspected at the Corporate Section, Kilkenny County Council, County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny.
