Notice of Vesting Order

The Local Authority, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 17 of the Act, did on the date hereof, hereby order that the land described in the Schedule hereto shown on the map attached thereto shall, on the 12th day of May, 2026, vest in the Local Authority in fee simple free from encumbrances and all estates, rights, titles and interests of whatsoever kind

Compulsory Purchase Order No. 1 of 2026

Derelict Site to the Rear of Market Street, Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny

Whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is a derelict site within the meaning of the Derelict Sites Act 1990 (hereinafter called “the Act”);

AND WHEREAS the provisions of Section 15 of the Act have been complied with by Kilkenny County Council (hereinafter called “the Local Authority”) in relation to the said land;

AND WHEREAS no objection was submitted to the Local Authority under section 16 of the Act.

NOW THEREFORE, the Local Authority, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 17 of the Act, did on the date hereof, hereby order that the land described in the Schedule hereto shown on the map attached thereto shall, on the 12th day of May, 2026, vest in the Local Authority in fee simple free from encumbrances and all estates, rights, titles and interests of whatsoever kind.

Copy of this Vesting Order and the map outlining the property can be inspected during normal office hours at the Planning Section of Kilkenny County Council, County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny and Thomastown Library, Marsh’s Street, Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny.

SCHEDULE

Derelict site comprising 0.0118 Ha to the rear of Market Street, Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny in the County of Kilkenny more particularly outlined in red on the map annexed hereto.
