Development of Groundwater Source at Sandfordscourt, Co. Kilkenny

Planning and Development Regulations 2001

Pursuant to the requirement of Part 8 of the Planning & Development Regulations 2001, notice is hereby given that Kilkenny County Council proposes to carry out development, particulars of which are set out in the Schedule hereunder

Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection at the following offices:

Kilkenny County Council, Water Services Section, County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny and at Kilkenny Borough Council, City Hall, High Street, Kilkenny.

from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday, for a period ending Friday 20th May 2011

Submissions or observations with regard to the proposed development, dealing with proper planning and development of the area in which the development would be situate, may be made in writing to:

Sandfordscourt, Co. Kilkenny

The development consists of groundwater abstraction from the well field located at Sandfordscourt, Co. Kilkenny. The development will provide a supply of up to 3,000 m3 of water per day. The key components of the proposed development are: - Borehole pumps and head works (incl. air valves, meters, etc.) at each borehole. A Control instrumentation kiosk located at each production borehole Provision of SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) and telemetry system.   The purpose is to augment the supply of potable water to Kilkenny City RWSS.
