Diversions will be signposted; local access will be facilitated, likely with delays, these works are weather dependent.

Temporary Road Closure – R886 Greens Bridge/ Green Street/Troy’s Gate/Bishops Hill, Kilkenny City – Tuesday 11th to Thursday 13th April

Due to essential road resurfacing works Kilkenny County Council wish to advise that road ref: R886 Greens Bridge/Green Street/Troys Gate/Bishops Hill will be closed to vehicular traffic from junction L2647: Grange Road to junction R693 Vicar Street & R886 New Road from Tuesday 11thto Thursday 13th April from 7 am to 7 pm approximately to facilitate roadworks.

  • Local diversions shall be in operation and signposted.
  • In so far as practical whilst roadworks are in progress local access will be facilitated but is likely to be subject to delays.
  • This work is weather dependent so may be cancelled if weather conditions are not considered to be favourable
