Kilkenny County Council wish to advise that the R698 Kildalton, Piltown will be closed to traffic, from its junction with the L1035 at Richardsons Cross to its junction with the L4222 at Anthony’s Inn, Main Street, Piltown from Tuesday 21st to Thursday 23rd July, 2026, between 7:00am and 7:00pm approximately each day, to facilitate roadworks. 

Note, there will be no access onto the R698 from the L1039 Tower Road and L5125 Hillcrest Avenue during these works.

Diversions will be in operation during works and will be clearly signed.  Local access will be facilitated, but delays should be expected.

Please note, these works are weather dependent and subject to change at short notice.
