This support will specifically target rural towns with a population of under 10,000 people. Local Authorities, in consultation with local communities, may detail two project applications under this measure up a maximum value of €50,000 per application. A grant rate of 90% of the total project costs per project application with a minimum match funding rate of 10% of the total project costs. 

Funding may be awarded for costs such as detailed design, planning, procurement, professional fees, assessments and other development costs. The approval of funding under this category does not automatically guarantee future funding under alternative funding streams for delivery of the emerging projects - the resulting projects will need to be submitted as normal under the competitive funding processes.

Under this project development measure, Kilkenny County Council are now seeking Expressions of Interest. Please note that a preliminary Expression of Interest form must be submitted to community@kilkennycoco.ie  on or before 5:00p.m.  Wednesday 13th of March 2024.
