Road Traffic Collision (RTC) Refresher Course 2007
Course Aim:
The aim of the course is to assist Kilkenny Fire and Rescue Service in developing and updating our ability to respond to road traffic collisions.
Course Objectives:
At the end of the course participants will -
(a) Have improved their knowledge of equipment, methods and procedures for dealing with road traffic collisions and other incidents involving rescue and extrication.
(b) Be aware of the importance of first aid and casualty care, and have been introduced to the essentials of casualty care and handling at accident scenes,
(c) Have participated in a number of practical exercises and practised the skills involved in response to incidents requiring rescue and extrication and the use of extrication equipment,
(d) Understand the roles of the Ambulance service and Gardai at road traffic collisions.
