The Local Enhancement Programme 2026 is targeted towards enhancing facilities in disadvantaged communities. It provides small grants to community groups in a manner consistent with each area's Local Economic and Community Plan and is supported through the Department of Rural and Community Development's  Community Enhancement Programme. 

Kilkenny Local Community Development Committee allocated 105 grants to communities across the county. 

Kilkenny Local Community Development Committee received an allocation of 170,519. 

The fund has been allocated across 105 Community groups and organisations towards the following types of projects:- 

• Purchase of training equipment, outdoor equipment, IT equipment 
• Internal and external painting
• Roof repairs, heating repairs 
• Defibrillator
