Notice of Proposed Development by a Local Authority
STONEYFORD WASTEWATER TREATMENT WORKS UPGRADING 2008

In accordance with Part 8 of the above Regulations and Article 179 (3) of the above Act, and any Amendments thereof, Kilkenny County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to carry out the following development:
It is proposed to Upgrade the existing Wastewater Treatment Works in Stoneyford, County Kilkenny, to have the capacity to treat wastewater equivalent to that from a population of 1,250 persons, in order provide adequate capacity to treat wastewater from existing and future development in the Area served by Stoneyford Sewerage Scheme by.
The development will include:
(a) Inlet Works
(b) Anoxic-Aerobic Reactor
(c) Final Settling Tank
(d) Nutrient Removal Equipment
(e) Sludge Thickening and Holding Equipment
(f) Stormwater Holding and Return Equipment
(g) Control Building
(h) All necessary Aeration, Pumping, Electrical Control, and Ancillary Equipment, Pipework and Fittings
Plans and Particulars of the proposed Development will be available for inspection daily at the offices of Kilkenny County Council, County Hall, John St, Kilkenny, and in the Callan Area Office, Prologue, Callan, Co Kilkenny, from 27th February 2008 until 2nd April 2008 inclusive, between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Development, dealing with the proper Planning and Development of the area in which the Development will be situated, may be made in writing to:
