Motor Tax/Receipts/Traffic - Opening Hours

Kilkenny County Council Motor Tax/Receipts/Traffic Department is open to the public from 9.00am until 1pm daily.

You can tax your vehicle, in most cases, online at www.motortax.ie. Your PIN number is the last six digits of the serial number on the Vehicle Registration Certificate issued for your vehicle.

There is a drop box service at the main entrance of the Motor Tax office, any Motor Tax forms placed in the postbox before 2pm will be processed the same day.

You can also have your application processed by posting it to Motor Tax Office, Kilkenny County Council, County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny.

Receipts and Traffic payments can also used the dropbox service at the Motor Tax office or alternatively pay online at Online-Payments
