Variation 2 to the Kilkenny County Development Plan 2011
Variation 2 to the Kilkenny County Development Plan 2008-2014, adopted on the 19th September 2011, modified the planning framework and zoning map for Bennettsbridge. See Variation No 2 to Kilkenny County Development Plan Core Strategy for further information.

Notice of Adoption
Kilkenny County Council formally adopted the Local Area Plan for Bennettsbridge at the meeting of the County Council on the 20th July, 2009. The adopted LAP is available below.
It is also available for inspection at the Planning Department at County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny from Monday to Friday from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. daily.
Hard copies of the LAP are available for purchase through the Planning Department, Kilkenny County Council at a cost of €20.

Notice of Proposed Amendments to Bennettsbridge Draft Local Area Plan
Kilkenny County Council are in the process of making a Local Area Plan for Bennettsbridge and propose to make a number of variations/modifications to the previously published Draft Plan.
The proposed amendments may be inspected from Friday, 5th June to Friday, 3rd July, 2009 at the following locations:

Submissions with respect to the Proposed Amendments, made in writing to the Director of Services, Planning Department, County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny and received before 4pm on Friday, the 3rd of July, 2009 will be taken into consideration before the Local Area Plan is made. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the County of Kilkenny propose to make a Local Area Plan (LAP) for Bennettsbridge
A copy of the Draft LAP may be inspected from Friday 30th January to Friday 13th March 2009 at the following locations:

Submissions can also be made via email to localareaplans@kilkennycoco.ie
Copies of the Draft LAP will be available for purchase through the Planning Department, Kilkenny County Council at a cost of €20 for a hard copy and €2 for a CD.
An Information Evening will be held on Wednesday 11th February in the Bennettsbridge Community Centre from 2pm-5pm and 6pm-9pm. The purpose of the Information Evening is to provide an opportunity for the public to view the Draft Plan and speak with a member of the planning team in advance of making submissions on the plans.

Notice is hereby given that Kilkenny County Council intends to prepare a Local Area Plan for Bennettsbridge.
Submissions or observations regarding the preparation of a Local Area Plan may be made, in writing, to the Director of Services, Planning, County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny from 12th May 2008 until 5 pm on Friday 20th June, 2008 or you can make submissions by email to bennettsbridgelap@kilkennycoco.ie
You are invited to attend a public consultation workshop in Bennettsbridge Community Centre on Wednesday 28th May 2008 at 7.00 p.m.
All written and email submissions/observations received on or before the 20th June 2008 will be considered by the County Council prior to the making of a draft Local Area Plan.
Submissions relating to Bennettsbridge received previously as part of the preparation of the Draft County Development Plan 2008 - 2014 will be considered as part of the preparation of the Local Area Plan.
