TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ROADS --- N78 National Secondary Road at Coolbaun, between Castlecomer and Athy
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the intention of Kilkenny County Council to close the N78 National Secondary Road at Coolbaun between Castlecomer and Athy for road improvement works at Coolbaun.
Submissions or observations should be submitted in writing to the undersigned, by 4.00pm, Friday 25th Sept 2026.

| Northbound Traffic Divert at Castlecomer on R426 to Clogh and via L1831 to Crettyard (HCV at Clogh to continue on R426 to The Swan and R430 to Newtown). Southbound Traffic Divert at Crettyard on L1831 to Clogh and on R426 for Castlecomer.
Local Access Maintained.

Local Roads at Coolbaun to be closed for Short Durations during the Works Coolbaun Cross L5874 & L5875 Glenmullen Rd L5877 Ardra Rd 5874 | Local Access Maintained.
