Kilkenny City is well served by more than 4,500 public parking spaces, most of which are located within a short walk of the primary destinations in the High Street and MacDonagh Junction parking hubs.
Kilkenny County Council has control and responsibility for 2,100 spaces including 930 on-street and 1,170 off-street at thirteen locations.
You should always check the street signage when parking to avoid parking fines.
Traffic and Receipts Office re-opening on reduced hours from 29th June, 2020.
The Traffic/Receipts Office located at Kilkenny County Council Offices, County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny will re-open to the public on: Monday 29th June, 2020.
Opening hours are 9.10 am to 1.00 pm sharp.
As we are expecting high volumes of customers calling to our public counter when it re-opens, and in order to avoid having to queue for long periods, please be advised that you can pay your Housing Loan/Rent payments, Fire Charge and Traffic fines online at www.kilkennycoco.ie or alternatively phone the following numbers to make payment by card:
