Homeless people in need of permanent housing can apply to Kilkenny County Council's housing list. If eligible, they will be placed on the waiting list. The length of time waiting for Social Housing allocation will depend on the demand for housing in the area and their individual circumstances on the waiting list. If a person is eligible for housing support they can avail of The Housing Assistant Payment (HAP).
