Pursuant to Section 177AE of the Planning and Development Act 2000-2010 as inserted into the Act by Section 57 (Part XAB) of the Planning and Development (Amendment) Act, 2010 and the requirements of the Planning & Development (Amendment) Regulations 2011, notice is hereby given that Kilkenny County Council proposes to seek the approval of An Bord Pleanala for the construction of the following works at Thomastown Quay Wall

• Re-pointing and grouting of the wall.
• Installation of soil nails and associated plates.

A Natura Impact Statement has been prepared in respect of the proposed development.

An Bord Pleanala may give approval to the application for development with or without conditions or may refuse the application for development.

The Application and the Natura Impact Statement may be inspected free of charge or purchased at the following offices:

• Kilkenny County Council, County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny
• Kilkenny County Council, Thomastown Area Office, Ladyswell street, Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny.

between the hours of 9.00am to 5.00pm from Friday 4^th April, 2014 to Friday 16^th May, 2014

Submissions or observations relating to :

I. The implications of the proposed development for the proper planning and sustainable development in the area concerned,

II. The likely effects on the environment of the proposed development and

III. The likely significant effects of the proposed development on a European site

may be made in writing, not later than 5.00pm on Monday 19^th May, 2014, to:
