Kilkenny Fire Service has recently taken delivery of a new combined aerial fire appliance from Angloco Ltd., West Yorkshire, England for its fire services.

This appliance is the first of its type to be provided for fire services in Ireland and the provision of this appliance is a further indication of Kilkenny County Council Fire Service commitment to the development of its fire and emergency services for the benefit of the people of Kilkenny and neighbouring counties. The appliance will be stationed in Kilkenny City. A number of personnel have received training in the use of the new Bronto All-Rounder.

The Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government (DoEHLG) provided full funding for the purchase of this new combined aerial fire appliance.
